BELOW: Photos from UL National Champion Weightlifter Walter Imahara’s induction into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame. Attending were Dave Meltzer, Joe and Jane Murry, Wayne Vizzini, Mike and Connie McDonald, Warren and Mary Perrin, Eli Manning, and HOF member Harold Porter, former all-American sprinter from UL. Also inducted was sports writer Bruce Brown of Lafayette.

On August 17, 2023, Amy Armstrong, Director of the UL Alumni Association, and Warren Perrin appeared on Brazda’s morning show, where they discussed the induction of UL Olympic Weightlifter Walter Imahara and sportswriter Bruce Brown into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame. After the segment, Warren presented Brazda with a copy of his book, The University of Louisiana’s National Championship Weightlifting Teams.
