E. Gerald “T-Boy” Hebert

Inducted into the Weightlifting Hall of Fame: November 15, 2024

E. Gerald “T-Boy” Hebert, age 75 years, was born in Jeanerette, La. He attended Dora C. Robin Elementary (1955-62, Jeanerette High (1963-67), USL (1967-69), and 2009-2012 General Studies and UNO (2012-2015) with a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science Toxicology.

T-Boy was a devoted member of the USL Olympic Weightlifting Team and a member of the National Collegiate championship Team in 1968. He operated Patriot Services Inc. (1981-2018) and  Oilfield Drilling Chemicals & Lab Testing, EGHI LLC (2005-2024). T-Boy was also a leader in Louisiana higher education: He served on the UL System Board of Higher Education for eight years from 2008 until 2016 and during that time served as chairman of the board for two terms. He is now living in Destin, Florida and working in real estate development. He has been married to Martha Hebert for 45 years. They have one son Gerald P. Hebert who is married to Kayla Hebert.
